Supernova high beam

Supernova is the first manufacturer to launch an approved high beam for bicycles, the M99 MINI PRO25. High beams have become one of the most important innovations in the bicycle lighting industry since the new legislation came into effect. Besides their literal range, high beams offer enormous illumination and significantly increase safety. For the first time, approved bicycle lights provide illumination for difficult terrain, allowing cyclists to more quickly perceive overhanging branches, signs, junctions, and poorly visible pedestrians – no matter how steep or winding the trail! The Supernova high beam has an extremely wide beam angle. This enables excellent environmental perception, which in turn makes the other advantages described below possible.

Fork dive

The problem is particularly well-known with mountain bikes: these often have long suspension travel that compresses, especially during braking, reducing the beam range by up to 90%. Supernova's special high beam is optimized to provide a particularly large amount of light above the cut-off line, thus compensating fork movement and maintaining visibility on the trail. The high beam of the M99 reflector has a 56% wider beam angle than other comparable headlights. On the way to the trail in the city, the low beam allows for glare-free riding. The high beam can be activated with the push of a button as needed.

Curve lighting

When a cyclist leans into a curve, the low beam, which has a sharply defined beam at the glare horizon, tilts to the side with them, illuminating only a portion of the road ahead. The significantly increased luminosity of the high beam, however, shines far beyond the glare horizon, illuminating the curve itself. This results in a vastly improved illumination of the road when cornering, and thus a tremendous increase in safety for the cyclist.
